All donations are thankfully received and very much welcomed...
We depend on our members, visitors and the wider community for donations as this represents the substantial part of our income. With continued donations we are able to further the agenda and objectives as set out in our Missions.
We are always seeking to increase our annual income through donations because this will allow us to complete our agenda and successfully meet our objectives on time.
All donations are received as income and are made in a variety of ways. We have described below the various forms of donations.
Proverbs 11:25 A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
Tithes
We accept tithes from our members who are in part or fulltime employment. They are encouraged to tithe 10% of their gross or net income by standing order. Students, unemployed, under 18s and over 65s are exempt from tithing due to the absence of an income.
Proverbs 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops.
Discretionary Offerings
Non discretionary offerings are accepted from members and non members. Non discretionary offerings reveal the identity of the donor. Students, unemployed, under 18s and over 65s are exempt from offerings due to the absence of an income.
Corinthians 9:6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
Grants
We welcome any opportunity to obtain grant funding from funding bodies specifically for special projects to be undertaken by our ministries.
Activities
In keeping with the Objects as provided in our Memorandum of Association, we employ our effort to generate income, if permissible, from other activities which are namely fundraising and events.
Galathians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
