Membership
As of 31st Decemeber 2010 we currently have more than 70 registered members (excluding under 18s). Our goal is to increase our membership to exceed 250 by 31st December 2011. We seek a diverse and all inclusive membership representing many nationalities and ethnicities; both genders; all ages; rich and poor; Christians and non Christians; no bias is given to social and economic status.
Membership Relief Fund
Our membership relief fund can be described as a money pool that is primarily funded by members. The relief fund is specifically to meet the needs of members who unexpectedly find themselves in extreme financial difficulty. The relief fund is accessible on a first come basis and by order of individual merit. Access to the fund’s money is made available on various, although favourable, terms. All requests for relief to members are considered.
Reserve Fund
We are actively taking steps to build our reserve fund bank account which wholly depends upon donations from members, visitors and the wider community generally. With a healthy reserve fund it will enable us to respond to the acute needs or events within the community we serve and, therefore, limit hardship to the vulnerable. The reserve fund is an entirely separate bank account that is wholly independent from the other bank accounts; membership relief fund (members’ financial support), building fund (new premises) and the operational account (administrative expenses).
Counselling and Advocacy
(All Ages) We have trained counsellors providing a range of specialised counselling and advocacy help. Although the service is available to members and visitors, it can also be accessed by the wider community generally. Depending on the recipient’s location the service can be accessed by telephone or one to one meeting. This is a completely confidential service.
